Neighborhoods
Leafy, bohemian, and endlessly walkable. The epicenter of Buenos Aires café culture — every block has a third-wave coffee spot or a vine-covered restaurant.
Hipper, quieter, and a touch more residential. Known for its restaurant scene and rooftop bars — less touristy than Soho, loved by long-term nomads.
Grand, elegant, and unapologetically European. Wide boulevards, Haussmann-style buildings, and some of the city best museums. Perfect if you want calm and culture.
City Guide
This place is absolutely my kind of spot — it's got this warm, zen vibe that just makes you want to stay all day. There's a specialty coffee bar, a cute little shop with local products, and a patio that feels like your own secret garden escape. The natural light is gorgeous, the music is soft, you'll feel so relaxed here, whether you're working or having a coffee with a book or a friend.
Flexible, modern space with hourly/daily options, snacks, AC, and a practical no-frills vibe. Easy for short-term or drop-in work.
A quiet café ideal for focused work with fast wifi and spacious shared tables in the back. It transitions to a beer bar in the evenings.
A cozy spot with a rustic atmosphere serving great pastries and amazing baked goods. Perfect for late breakfast or brunch with a big shared table, outlets, and fast wifi ideal for focused work or calls.
Place with a colorful, minimalist design and tons of natural light that just makes you want to work. It's got such a polished, inspiring vibe that gets you in the zone—perfect if you want somewhere stylish but still relaxed where you can actually focus.
A spacious cafe with panoramic windows overlooking the port, ideal for working, reading, or meeting people. The generous layout and views create an inviting atmosphere for various activities.
It's a gem if you want quality coffee + healthy eats in a cozy setting to work/read.
This is a super solid coworking spot that locals love! They've got great desks, meeting rooms, and the vibe is perfectly balanced between productive and social. The Palermo location is chef's kiss for getting around.
This calm, professional spot has such an elegant vibe that's perfect for getting serious work done. I loved how quiet it stayed even with people around, and you're literally steps from the subway and shops if you need a break. It's the kind of place where you actually feel like focusing.
This is such a gorgeous specialty coffee and patisserie spot that feels like a creative little sanctuary in the heart of Palermo. The space is set in a beautiful renovated house with soft lighting and cozy vibes, plus there's a heated patio with blankets in the back — I absolutely loved lingering here even when it was chilly. They sell their own ceramics throughout the space that you can actually buy, which makes it feel so artsy and personal.
Vibrant, creative space with industrial-chic design, events, strong community feel, and even a pool/patio at some spots. Great for focused work or casual networking.
Practical and well-equipped with flexible plans, good for consistent daily use.
This place is such a breath of fresh air – sustainable, bright, and intimate with the most gorgeous terraces and natural light that actually makes you want to work. There's a calm creative vibe throughout, and they're pet-friendly which I absolutely loved. The whole community-focused atmosphere just makes you feel like you're part of something special, not just another coworker in a generic space.

Palermo is the easiest place I've lived in Latin America. I walked home from dinner most nights without a second thought. The thing to know is phone snatching on Thames around the Honduras intersection - I heard this from other nomads and they told me to stay aware. After that I adapted: phone goes in my pocket at intersections, I walk near buildings. Hundreds of walks since with zero issues. The adaptation is genuinely small. The cafés on Honduras and Costa Rica are some of my favourite work spots in any city - they let you sit there for four hours with one cortado and don't make you feel weird about it.

Buenos Aires totally stole my heart, babe. The city’s got this sexy tango energy mixed with old-school Parisian vibes, and as a solo girl wandering around Recoleta and San Telmo, I never once felt weird or unsafe — the locals are so warm and flirty it actually made me feel gorgeous every day. My advice? Throw on a simple striped shirt or an oversized blazer, get lost in the markets hunting for vintage finds, sip wine at tiny corner cafés till 2am, and just let the city flirt with you — it’s pure magic for a girl traveling on her own.

I loved coming to Buenos Aires once in a while; it's been such a great mix of cultures: everyone here speaks Spanish, so be prepared. It's one of the safest cities in LatAm: you have to stay alert, though, if walking alone late. Palermo Soho and Palermo Hollywood are generally safe - just make sure to put your phone away and don't wear expensive jewellery that may attract unwanted attention. Amazing food, excellent museums like Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes and Ecological Park with huge amount of capybaras walking around the park. If choosing empanada flavours, pick Roquefort con Jamon!
